The theme this week is to share what YOUR “Mom” help is. Some drink coffee, soda, or chia-tea. Others check email or read their favourite blogs. Some talk a walk…. what do you do when you need to clear your head and take a breather?

Well I really like coffee. So for me its a coffee in my hand and then I sit by myself and try to relax. Then email and off to doing mom things. Lately I have been catching up with friends on Facebook. But mainly its my coffee. I love relaxing at night with my husband and just talking to him. It really makes us connect.

When I need a breather I take my dog & ipod & run! I love it. That is how I relax believe it or not! :)

Monday through Sunday said... husband and I love to make a cup..and sit out in the lanai on the swing...very peaceful. I think the greatest is watching our children play. :) I find reading a great book is also very relaxing for me...with a cup of coffee..of course! :)

I'm with Monday through Sunday. A great cup of coffee and a good book. That relaxes me like nothing else.

I go to my monthly evening mother's group with a friend. The kids are left at home with our husbands and we head off together, chatting for the entire drive (sometimes I almost miss the freeway exit we're talking so much). Sometimes we don't get home until after midnight, which is shocking for a woman with four kids who all like to get up before 7am!

We're not a gossipy bunch, one of the group members gives a talk on some aspect of mothering, and then we mostly chat about how we could try this or that with our kids. The other mothers have been an inspiration and encouragement to me.

The other thing is blogging, particularly when I am writing about something I have read. It really helps me to process what I have been reading and stop having all those thoughts running around in my brain.
